Hey Guys,
Been a more than a month I posted anything, here and on my other social media platforms. I wasn't very busy or
occupied really, but, was little disoriented because of some not so serious
health issues, which had cause my skin to explode and it was reoccurring even
after taking lot of precautions. Anyways, I shall not bore you all with
this.
Past few weeks I finished a few skincare items and once hair care
products which I thought of sharing to inspire some of you, empties post
are always inspires me.
1.
Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing
Balm
This was my first time trying this product after
hearing a lot of rave review. When I used it for the first time, I fell in
love with it. Later I thought it was not worth it and started using less
frequently and it took me more than 4.5-5 months to finish it, a few days back.
However, this was always my companion during my Delhi travel for how easy
make-up removing and evening cleansing becomes. Ever since, this product is
finished and I went to Delhi (imagine Delhi’s hot and dry weather) without it,
I missed it so much. I took my Sunday Riley’s cleanser and it made my skin so
dry and stretchy. So, I decided to purchase my second tub and when I used it
again today, I realised I can’t part with this cleansing balm.
I was actually contemplating at buying Sunday Riley’s
Blue Moon or Eve Lom’s balm, but, it would have taken forever to reach me and I
was not ready to wait. But, I will surely try both of these balms this year.
2.
Clarins One Step Gentle Exfoliator
This cleanser guys is so good. I use it as a
physical exfoliator every couple of days. This is primarily my evening cleanser
after removing my make-up. I tend to get less hormonal breakouts and whatever
few I get, they clear up quickly and makes my skin smooth and soft. I am on my
second tube, as we speak.
3.
Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Toner
Even though I don’t see major difference in my skin
whether I use toner or I am a strong believer of toners, for, it helps removing
every single trace of make-up and gunk left over. And, if I stop using toner I
get more breakouts.
About Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Toner, it’s not our
regular transparent water like toners, it’s milky and translucent. Company
recommends it for all skin types, however, for my oily-dehydrated skin it was a
little bit more, especially when I am in Mumbai during day time. It worked
awesome for me when I used it during night time and during drier months. And it
does fantastic in removing last trace of make-up and gunk. I am on fence about
it. But, I may still give it a go considering my frequency of travel to Delhi,
as it worked fantastic for me there too.
4.
Alpha-H Liquid Gold
I loved this stuff. It made my skin super smooth
and plump. I used to use it every 2 days along with my Kiehl’s Midnight
Recovery Concentrate. You can read about it more here.
5.
Clinique Acne Solutions Spot Healing
Gel
Wonderful at clearing acne, but, it leaves my skin
dry. I am using Kiehl’s Blue Herbal Spot Treatment Gel and I am liking it so
far.
6.
Forest Essentials Eye Cream with Anise
It’s a thick eye cream, great for those who suffer
from dry and dehydrated under eye area. The company also claims its
effectiveness in smoothing fine lines. But, I didn’t notice any difference in
fine lines around my eye area and it took some time in getting absorbed.
7.
Moroccan Oil Intense Hydration Mask
This is the first time I am discussing any hair
care product on this platform. 1. I was not fussy about hair care products and
2. I never found any product worthy of any mention.
I tried this super expensive mask only out of curiosity
and I must admit I love this product. I also tried the shampoo, which was
horrible and made my hair super dry. Now, that I have finished one tub of this
mask, I am still contemplating whether I really need this mask.
That is all for now and I shall see you all here very soon.
Lots of Love,
I haven't tried the Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm yet but I fear that once I do I'll be hooked, just like you :-)
ReplyDeleteLol Melissa.. I think you must try this Balm once :-D
DeleteEven I fear the same. I am particularly fidgety about cleaning my makeup.
