This week has been very hectic so far for me. I have taken 2 flights already and have experienced extreme weather changes - Mumbai > Chennai > Delhi and this has definitely taken a toll on me and hence swollen eyes and dull face and I am feeling tired, dull and not 100% up to the mark (feeling crap in a nutshell).
So, to perk-up the dullness I decided to go for a fresh and dewy look, with minimal makeup on eyes - just defining them. To perk up my complexion I used a dewy-glowy base - I used Becca Backlight Primer Filter, which I hauled from Cult Beauty recently and I am yet to take individual product photos and Chanel Vitalumiere Foundation (Reviewed here). As I was going for a dewy-glowy fresh looking base, I didn't want to use a powder which would have mattified the look. Therefore, to set the base in place I dusted little bit of Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dimlight.
Rosey and pinky tones in make-up help me freshen up my look and I really like how they look on me - hence fresh pink lips - Burberry Rosewood and shimmery-rosey cheeks - Becca Shimmer Souffle Lychee/ Opal with little bit of sculpting my face to take bloat/ swelling off my face using my Charlotte Tilbury Film Star Bronze & Glow. I used the highlight shade from Charlotte Tilbury Film Star Bronze & Glow palette to highlight my cheek bones (concentrating mostly towards the temples and not bringing it forward towards the nose as this part of my face is already lifted because of travel bloat/ swelling).
I wanted to keep my eyes defined but simple and not over the top - so I just used a wash of champagne gold eye shadow all over from Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita palette and sweeped medium tan color in the crease from my Tom Ford Coco Mirage palette. To define my eyes further and create a stark contrast with pale and neutral eye shadows, I tightlined my upper lash line using Urban Decay Perversion eye pencil and drew a very thin and tiny wing using Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper. To balance out, applied just one coat of volumizing mascara concentrating most of the product in roots of the lashes and lightest coat on lower lashes just to take away any foundation or powder - L'oreal Million Lashes Mascara.
And finally I spritzed my face with MAC Fix+ for an extra hydration and add dewiness in look because why not in this cold weather of Delhi!
I hope you liked this kind of a post wherein I have explained in detail why and how I used certain products to get the look, rather than just listing and leaving it your imagination.
Lots of love
