Review: Kevyn Aucoin The Celestial Candlelight Powder

Hey Guys,

Hope you all had a fantastic New Years Eve and are safe and sound for 2015.

Continuing with my love for highlighters in 2015, let me show you a beautiful highlighting powder that's very subtle and imparts a healthy, ethereal and sophisticated glow which is everything but 'shine'. Kevin Aucoin Candlelight is golden beige with frosted sheen, that is not sparkly, glittery or shimmery. The powder is very finely milled and has buttery smooth texture that blends in a jiffy. I use a small fluffy brush to highlight my cheek bones, bridge of nose, cupids bow and everywhere else where I want to highlight. It does not emphasize my pores and also does not make my face look oily over the day/ night.

The product comes in a dark brown plastic compact with a mirror and a velvet pouch. I love the packaging, sleek and sturdy but very sophisticated. I felt the quantity was little less than I anticipated. When I ordered it online, I was expecting the quantity of product to be similar to those of Nars powder blushes. Nevertheless, you don't ton to get that glow.

Price: USD 44.00 for 0.11 oz or 3.1 gms.

Overall, if you are looking for a subtle highlighting powder that gives your glowing from withing glow, than this is it! You don't need anything else in your life. Totally worth it!

I hope you guys liked the review and I am so sorry to bore you guys with too many highlighters lately, but, what to do? I am obsessed with highlighters lately.

Lots of Love

  1. I have heard so many great things about this highlighter, it's the best of the best. It looks lovely on you and your eye makeup looks stunning!

  2. It looks so lovely on your skin! It really illuminates your face.

  3. Hey Eesha, I have this one but it is unfortunately not a favorite! I think the shade doesn't blend into my skin tone too well, so it doesn't look as subtle as I'd like it to be! I do love it on you tho! Glad to hear you enjoy it so much!

    1. Oh so sad that is didn't work well for you! I am enjoying to the core :-D
