Review: Chanel JC Blush in Accent

Hey Guys

Hope you all are happy and healthy...

Chanel JC Blush in Accent was launched with the Holiday collection and is a limited edition blush.

Accent is a pinkish brown with accents of mauve and it has very fine silver sparkles. I have never seen such a complex color and I am proud that it's my first JC blush. It imparts a very barely there natural flush to my cheeks which is ethereal and I had tough time capturing in the camera. You need to notice here that this blush doesn't give any color to your cheeks like a bright pink blush would. But, what it imparts on my NC 40 skin beyond words.

This blush is insanely pigmented. Just a couple taps of brush on the product and you get whole lot of quantity. It blends like a butter and no patchiness. I see it suiting a ton of skin tones. Fairer color beauties can definitely see color, while on medium-tan color beauties this will  be more of a flush and for darker beauties this will be a great highlighter.

Price: INR 2650/- for 4 gms of product.

Overall, this is a beautiful and most complex color I have every encountered. Buttery smooth formula and worth every penny you spend, but, keep in mind that this does not impart any 'color' on cheeks.

Here are some pictures and swatches of the blush:

Lots of love

Review: Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush in Tipsy

Hello Everyone

Hope you all are happy and healthy.

Tarte Amazonian Clay blushes are not new in the market, but, I could lay my hands on them only now. I bought four of them, Exposed, Blissful, Tipsy and Blushing Bride, and here's is the review of first and the most vibrant shade, Tipsy, of the four.

Tipsy is described as 'Coral' by Tarte and it is true peachy coral shade with minor sheen to it. Tipsy has very smooth and finely milled pigments that has amazing color pay off. When you see the pan, it looks scary, but, it definitely give a coral glow. It was easier to blend and applied smoothly without being patchy. True to it's claim, it stays put for a really long time without fading or looking patchy over the day. Quality of Tarte blushes is comparable with MAC Matte blushes that are few dollars cheaper (USD 21.00), but Nars blushes are more smoother and buttery for a few extra dollars expensive (USD 29.00).

It comes in plastic casing with mirror, which is the same color as the blush making it easier to locate, however, the plastic quality seems to be cheap. The Amazon River pattern is nice and looks appealing to eyes.

Price: USD 26.00 for 5.6 gms of product

Overall, I liked the Tipsy blush but nothing overwhelming about them in terms of quality.

Here are a pictures and swatches of the blush Tipsy and a FOTD:

I hope you found the review helpful.

Have a lovely week ahead.

Lots of Love

Happy 2014 - Plans, Resolutions and Wishlist for 2014!

Hey Guys

A VERY HAPPY 2014

On this very first day of 2014, I wish you all the best things come your way in 2014.

For me, 2013 has been a roller coaster year, as so many things happened from leaving my job to starting my own You Tube channel (which I wanted to ever since I started blogging). But, as 2013 has gone by, now, I look forward to 2014 and really excited about what it has in store!

But, before I talk about anything else, I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to one and all, who have loved and supported me through out the past year. I can't forget to mention my husband who is always so supportive in all my decisions, my friends for encouraging me and last but not least all my readers, without you support I would not have been writing this post today. So once again, Thank You so much everything.

Now, talking about 2014, we have couple of big plans, like we want to take up renovation of our house which seem to be big project and change a lot of old furniture and create a better living space. We shifted in here in 2011 and now it's screaming renovation. Hopefully we should be doing it March & April. The painting and civil part of it would be done in March & April and as we go we will also change a bit of our furniture, especially bedroom and drawing room furniture. We really are looking forward to it and are really excited about the whole thing.

How can I not talk about resolutions in this post: The first and only resolution is looking after and taking care of my health as the past year has been a real roller coaster for me in terms of health. Eat healthy, reduce weight (which I never resolved before) and be active. Wish me luck that I succeed in keeping my resolution.

And I cannot miss talking about my wish list of beauty products for 2014 (not necessarily in the same order):
  • Urban Decay Naked 3 palette
  • Chanel JC Blushes
  • Guerlain, Dior and YSL eye shadow palettes
  • YSL and Lancome lipsticks (no particular shade, but I really want to try these)
  • Giorgio Armani Lip Lacquers
  • AND Lancome Vissionaire serum which I have been wanting to try for ages... but always ran out of budget after buying make-up products!
That's all, I guess, for the 'wish list'!

I really hope that you all have a fantabulous 2014 and I am really looking forward to share 2014 with you guys. I will sign off now, as I am running late for a family get together in the evening.

Lots of Love
