Review: Chanel Powder Brush #1

Hey Guys,

Hope you all are happy and healthy.

I was searching for a powder brush that is big and has soft hair. A friend suggested me Shiseido's, but it was small for what I was looking for and I tell you it had the most soft hair. But, lets save it for another time.

I bought the Chanel no. 1 powder brush a long time back and you might have seen me using this brush many times in my videos.

Chanel no. 1 powder brush is a rounded brush which has perfectly packed hair that pick up the right amount of product. It works equally well with loose and compact powders. It picks up the product and spreads the product evenly without making it look cakey or patchy. I also use this product to apply bronzer when I am not looking for very precise contouring. I usually use a baby shampoo to wash my brushes, and I have washed this brush several times but never experienced any shedding of hair or have experienced the softness of its hair deteriorating. It still feels as soft as it was when new. I am totally in love with this brush and now planning to buy the no. 2 which is angled face brush soon.

Price: INR 2500.00, which is equivalent to M.A.C. Face Brushes.

Overall, I totally love this brush and suggest considering this brush if you are looking for a powder brush.

Hope you guys found the review helpful.

I am going to start packing for my 15 days vacation back home, where I have to attend 3 major functions, including 2 weddings of my husband's cousins and my nephew's naming ceremony. And immediately we are back we are taking up house renovation. So, month of May is going to be very hectic. A mere thought gives me tiredness.

Hope you guys have a lovely and relaxing weekend.

Lots of Love

Review: Lancôme Rouge In Love Lipstick in Miss Coquelicot #146B

Hey Guys,

Hope you all are happy and healthy.

So, I picked my first, Lancôme Rouge in Love Lipstick a while back. I actually got two of them. I know I am probably the last person to try these!

I am totally awestruck with the formula for how light weight this is lipstick for a long wearing formula. It's not at all drying on lips through the day. When you first apply, this is quite shiny and glossy (glossy would be a bit exaggeration), but, it sets to a satin finish. It's decently pigmented and is semi-opaque. This last decently on me, say for about 4+ hours with a light meal and a cup of coffee. Rouge In Love lipsticks come in a frosted metallic tube, with accents of red, which is quite pretty.

Miss Coquelicot #146B is a beautiful reddish-orange, which looks a bit paler than what it looks like in the tube on my NC40+ skin tone. On paler skin this would be a brighter orange, while, on medium-darker skin this would be muted orange which would not be very dramatic. This is a great shade for a pop of color for a day time look.

Price: INR 1750/- for 3.40 gms, which quite decent I feel for what you get is an amazing product.

Overall, Lancome Rouge In Love in Miss Coquelicot is a reddish orange shade which would look really bright on paler skin while medium-darker skin beauties may find it muted, but, I find it great for a pop of color for a day time look.

Below are a few pictures and swatches of the lipstick and an FOTD with this lipstick:

I hope you guys liked the lipstick and found the review helpful.

YSL Rouge Pur Coutur Vernis À Lèvers Gloss Stain #13 - Rose Tempura

Hey Guys

Hope you all are happy and healthy.

A revolutionary new lip product! Rouge Pur Couture Vernis a Levers Glossy Stain combines the texture and shine of a gloss with the long-wear stain for a truly innovative lip product. A lightweight texture that immediately melt onto lips. Rouge Pur Couture Vernis À Lèvers Gloss Stain delivers intense glossy colour for an extremely long lasting new kind of shine. The applicator's unique slanted tip and short soft bristles for flawless application with perfect precision.

Thanks to my friend Rashmi (of Indyabeauty) who insisted me to try this product. Glossy Stains are liquid lipsticks sorts that are extremely pigmented with almost watery like feel and extremely light weight glossy finish that is long lasting. It doesn't bleed or fade unevenly throughout the day. I noticed that it kept my lips moisturized throughout the day. I cannot tell you how much I love this product and sure gonna get more Glossy Stains. Gloss Stain #13 - Rose Tempura is a cool toned  deep fuchsia with silver pearl shimmer. On my extremely warm skin tone, it leans more towards red than pink.

In the first instance, it applies like a watery gloss and sets to a lipstick glossy finish. I apply one coat and weight for about 30 seconds for it to set and then apply the second coat for full opaque coverage. I read on blog while I was looking for reviews of this blog that one should not rub lips until it sets, say for about 30 seconds for an even finish.

Price: INR 2200/- for 6 ml product.

Overall, YSL Glossy Stains are something which a make-up aficionado must try, you will not be disappointed.

Here are pictures, swatches and an old FOTD with this product:

Review: Soleil de Tan Chanel Bronzing Base

Hey Guys,

Hope you are happy and healthy.

Now, that the summers are approaching bronzers are gonna be back into most our everyday make-up routines (I use bronzers right through out the year for more definition and color which doesn't make my face look flat).

I bought this Chanel product a while back and have been using it since then with my MAC 182 Kabuki Brush, and you might have seen me using this in my several videos. Lets see what the company has to say about it:

The velvety finish of this light cream-gel bronzer leaves your skin with a beautiful sun-kissed look. Wear on its own to enhance your complexion, or for a hint of outdoors radiance, over and under you favorite Chanel foundation.

Ok, this is one bronzer which gives the most natural bronze look without looking muddy and orangey. Okay, so the concept of cream bronzer may freak some of you out, but, worry not, this will never fail you. It comes a big jar which is a transparent plastic tub. And as soon as you open it, you see a swirl of milk chocolate in mouse form and you would want to immediately take a deep dive into it. LoL, sorry being too dramatic here, but, that's what I felt like when I opened it. It has a very sweet fragrance which is divine to me. It applies evenly with looking patchy and blends in no time. It gives a very pretty satiny finish which doesn't look shiny and doesn't make my face look oily through the day and it lasts on me through out the day without being patchy or fading unevenly. I, however, feel it would work best on fair to medium skin tones. I would like to see a couple of more color variants of this product to suit more skin tones. On me, NC40+ skin tone, it's just there.

Price: INR 2550/- for 30 gms, which is HUGE and I can easily say it would last me for lifetime.

Overall, this is a great bronzer for a natural sun-kissed look for fair to medium skin tones. Comes in huge quantity, so, a little higher price is worth it. I will really appreciate if Chanel decides to launch a few more shades to suit a wider variety of skin tones.
