Review: Maybelline Pink Alert Lipsticks POW2 and POW4

Hey Guys

Hope you all are happy and healthy.

Amp up your lips in the hottest pink. In four bright pink shades.

  • Passionate Pink Color only from vivid color pigments
  • Creamier feel only from our nourishing Honey Nector

Maybelline New York, India, have launched these pretty 4 shades of Pink from there Color Sensational range in India about a month and it's quite a rage and I see everyone raving about them. So, I also gave up to the temptation to try these lipsticks. I bought these two shades POW2 and POW4. POW2 is a cool toned Bright Fuchsia and POW4 is a warm toned Neon Pink.

These lipsticks are creamier to apply, but after a while, like in about half an hour so, these gradually dried on my lips and didn't feel as creamier as they were when freshly applied. As a matter of fact, my lips felt dry and tacky after about an hour. As claimed by the company about pigmentation, I found these lacking in this department either. I had to really rub the lipstick back and forth to get full coverage. I feel these lipsticks succumbed under the pressure high expectations I had from the tall claims made by the company about the quality of these lipsticks. However, I will also say that POW2 and POW4 are really vibrant shades of Pink in the drugstore market. The staying power of these lipsticks is also great, as both of these shades stayed nice on my lips for about 4-5 hours without showing hints of fading (probably the drying formula is the reason for longevity)

For INR 375.00, these are quite affordable for those on budget and want to make a statement pink lip look. Great for the season.

Overall, for those on budget these are lovely vibrant shades of Pink, but, do not expect miracles!
