Review: MAC Pigment in Basic Red

Hey Guys,

Hope you all are happy and healthy.

Basic Red Pigment is described as True Bluish Red in matte finish. I bought this product, basically because I saw Lisa Eldridge using this pigment on her models over MAC's Ruby Woo Lipstick for a perfect red velvet lip. I was totally amazed by the result. It further intensifies the Red of Ruby Woo to a full blow out red which is nothing but BOLD RED which is super long lasting and would not smear or fade or bleed or transfer on a glass of wine. It would stay as it is till the end of this world, well not literally. When using it on lips, be sure to moisturize your lips really well as dabbing the pigment would dry the lips. Apart from lips, one can also use this pigment as a blush or as an eye shadow. For the blush, I suggest mixing a tini-tiny bit with moisturizer for a lovely stain.

This is a Pro Product and is available only at the Pro Stores, and costs INR 1350/-. So, do check this pigment out when in Pro Store next time.

Here are the pictures and swatches of the pigment:

So, what do you guys this about Basic Red pigment? Yay or nay? I really liked this pigment for lips for a bold red pout. I hope the review was of some help and let me know if you guys liked the pigment.

Have a lovely and safe New Years Eve.

Lots of Love

Urban Decay Vice-2 Palette - Pictures and Swatches

Hello Everyone,

Hope you all are happy and healthy.

Finally, I got my hands on Urban Decay's Vice-2 palette. As soon as I finished swatching it, I was already in love with it! All the shades, except for a couple of them, swatched like a dream. Well, this is too early to say it's a review post as I have to still play with it properly so that I can do justice with the 'review'. I just loved its packaging, the Urban Decay's stone logo on top is just lovely and the color of the palette is freaking bright and awesome. Love this colorful goodness! Till then, I have pictures and swatches of all the 20 eye shadows in it

Review: Guerlain Rouge Automatic lipstick in Rouge d'Enfer

Hello Everyone

Hope you all are happy and healthy.

Well, I am sorry for being MIA lately as I am suffering from the worst ever cough of my life and constant roaming around with parents and cousins has aggravated it resulting in minor bronchitis. When I am writing this post I am still feeling severe congestion in my chest and hear a buzzing sound when I breath. So, I will be fully back in action in another couple of days. Until then enjoy this lipstick review.

Left: Single Swipe; Right: Double Swipes
Rouge D'Enfer is a blue ruby red color with ruby colored micro (read: nano) shimmer which is visible only when you trying to see the lipstick very closely. Rouge Automatic lipsticks are slightly on sheerer side and give almost opaque coverage with two swipes. I generally use this lipstick with MAC Cosmetics lip liner in Cherry with which looks like a full blown red. Like my Champs Elysee, Rouge d'Enfer is also very long lasting and moisturizing and glides very smoothly on my lips without tugging. I am in love with these lipsticks from the house of Guerlain and would recommend it to everyone.

Price: INR 2450.00 for 3.5 gms of product

Here is the picture of a quick FOTD with this lipstick to show how it looks on my NC40ish skin:

I hope you all found the review helpful and liked the lipstick on me.

Have a lovely week ahead.

Lots of Love

Video: Vampy Holiday Siren

Hello Everyone

Hope you all are happy and healthy.

I have a brand new tutorial in this video for the holidays. This look is ultra glamorous and vampy, great for holidays parties and night out with friends. I did this look last month for a dinner party at and posted a pic on my Instagram (see the pic below). Thanks to Dr. Neeraj Navare of Beauty-Traveller who helped me in finalizing the look. In that look I had applied the lipstick as a stain and had finished it with a little bit of lipglass. However, I modified it today for a full blown out look for holidays with bold eyes and bold lips.
