Glamorous glittering bronze eyes and red lips look for an evening wedding party - A look from my recent vacation!

Hello Everyone,

Hope you all are happy and healthy.

As promised, here is the first look from one of the looks I did during my recent vacation to a cousin's wedding. This look is very classy and glamorous and is a typical Indian Bridal kinds.

Actually I did this look on my sister-in-law for the reception party followed by overnight wedding. She told me two requirements for her make-up: 1. glammed up but not over done at the same time and 2. wanted her make-up to last longer, through the overnight wedding, especially her lipstick.

My sister-in-law has much leaner face than I have and her face is longer, she has naturally gifted flawless skin (her skin is combination to dry) and naturally accentuated cheek bones. But, there were couple of common things as we both have really dark brown eyes, so, this look is suiting me well too and both of us have exact same complexion, so I could use my foundation shades on her :D

She wore an extremely pretty cream and red lehenga with gold embroidery. I feel this look complimented here dress.

This look is very versatile and can be worn not just for a wedding party but for a night out with friends or a candle dinner with special someone. This look will steal the show for you!

So, lets see how I created this look, with exact same products.

Hope you all are doing well.

Did this quick look just to look better, in a sense that I didn't want to look ill and dull. It turned out well so thought of sharing with you guys. It's quick that can be achieved in just 15 - 20 mins. Great look when you are in a hurry and want to look put together and glamorous. I thought the look is a nice combo of cool and warm products. I have used a couple of my favorite products from Chanel, Illusion D'ombre eye shadow in Illusoire and Poude Signee De Chanel Illuminating Powder and my favorite lip combo Revlon Color burst lipstick in Peach and MAC Lipglass in Lychee Luxe. Review: Chanel Rouge Allure Extrait De Gloss in Merveille

Hello Everyone,

Hope you all are happy and healthy.

Yeah, I am back from a fortnight's vacation. It was super duper fun with the entire family getting together for a wedding and my husband's parent's house warming family. Those 3-4 days were full of madness and chaos. I can't express in words how wonderful this vacation was and I am still trying to bring myself back to Mumbai. While in this chaos me and my sister - in - law sneaked time to do some make-up. Well, I did her make-up for the main function, i.e. the wedding reception and a engagement which was a simple day function. Will share the looks here in next couple of posts.

Coming to this post, it was supposed to be up just before I left for the vacation, but forgot to schedule it. For product pictures and swatches click here.

This lipgloss is part Chanel's Spring 2013 collection 'Collection Printemps Precioux De Chanel', which was launchd in India about a month back.

Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss is supposed to be luxuriously smooth and silky gel like textuure that is high intensity, high shine and long wearing formula, which doesn't feel sticky or tacky and imparts a luxurious shine and color to your lips. True to every claim made by the company for this product.

Merveille is described as lilac rosewood color with very fine pink shimmer. I can't believe how easily wearable this shade is, it's already my everyday go to shade. Love its opacity considering it's a gloss. It coveres every bit of pigmentation in giffy. I need two coats of the product to completely cover my lips.

On longevity, it lasts much longer than any of the lipglosses I have ever used. It lasts for around 5 hours on my without fading and slight drinking and eating. When, I am writing this post it's already 7+ hours I applied this gloss, and I can still feel the product on my lips even after a full meal. It's nicely hydrating my lips and I don't feel any dryness on my lips and the need to apply any lip balm, though the product is completely faded.

It has doe-foot sponge applicated which is tapered from both the sides, similar to applicators of Revlon Colorburst lipglosses, but smaller in size. The applicator is aptly sized to fit in the natural curves of lips.

The tube is a sturdy black plastic tube with company's logo embossed in white. The tube is heavier than other Chanel glossimers or lispticks, no idea why....

Pricier at INR 2100/-, but, this product is going to last you a lot longer as you need very tiny amount to do the job.

Overall, it's a lovellyyy lilac rosewood shade, which doesn't remeble to any other shades from my collection. It's completely opaque, it hydrates and it lasts much longer for a lipgloss, true to all the claims that the company makes regaring this product. What more would you want from a lip product. A complete winner for me. Go and try it yourself. I am sure you will love it.

Here are a few pictures of me wearing this lovely product.

I hope you all found the review helpful and liked the product on me.

Stay tuned for looks from my recent vacation which I did on myself and my sister - in - law.

Lots of love

Review: Poudre Signee De Chanel Illuminating Powder

Hello Everyone

Hope you all are doing well and are happy and healthy.

After trying this master piece of art from Chanel from it's Spring 2013 collection for more than a week, here I am with it's review. So, let's see if it won my heart or not. Click here for more pictures.

This product has the most awesome and pretty packaging, yes you guessed it right, I am talking about it's luxurious pouch. Embossed with the company's logo and some of Chanel's signature products and those lovely roses. Couldn't stop staring it and didn't gather the courage to even touch it. But, to review I had to use it and more over I wanted to use.

It's an extremely pretty highlighting product which gives you a lovely candle light glow. Initially I thought, it would ashy on me, but when applied on my, rest all doubts vanished and all I could feel was the beautiful glow it gave my face. When you see it in the pan, it looks like a lovely beige with a hint of rosey pink, and when applied it's lovely ensemble of rose and gold, though gold more prominent. When compared with Nars Albatross highlighter, this product is softer gold or rather warmer rosey pink whereas Albatross looks definitely looks stronger gold on me.

It also liked how nicely it sat on my face through out the day without making my face look greasy or emphasizing pores.

It comes with a sponge applicator, which I think is useless. I tries using it, but, the applicator deposited too much product on my face. The product also got accumulated in the sponge, which I feel is very unhygienic. The compact comes with a good size mirror for ease of application.

Definitely, pricey at INR 3700/-, but for me definitely worth it. I will relish this 8 gms of product for my entire life.

Overall, it's a lovely product for a candle light glow without emphasizing your pores or looking greasy if you have oily skin.

Here are a few picture of me wearing this lovely master piece and how it looks on my NC40ish skin tone:

I hope you all liked the product and review. Are going to buy anything from Chanel's spring 2013 collection? Do let me know in the comments below. You can buy this product from Chanel's store in Palladium Mall, Lower Parel, Mumbai.
