Soft Glow & Tan Make-up for Summers - Make-up Look

Hello Everyone

I hope you all are doing well.

If you have missed my last post and make-up video tutorial, then find it here

I did this look on the weekend and really turned out well. Especially the skin, which glows, looks perfect and flawless, sorry for a little bit of self appreciation here, but I really liked my skin in all the pictures. There are actually couple of products which made my skin glow like this - First is the Guerlain Parur Aqua liquid foundation and the Second one is Chanel Soft Horizon Blush. Pictures & Reviews coming up in next couple of posts, so stay tuned. :D :D

On my eyes, I have used a BEAUTIFUL pigment from MAC called "TAN". MAC describes this shade very rightly as shimmer pinky-brown-bronze. The shimmer, the softness and the shade itself is to die for. The color pay-off from this pigment is extremely pretty and true to what it looks like in the jar. Very very very ... pretty. I can't imagine a MAC make-up stash without this pigment. Yes, it is a must have anyone who is into make-up.

It comes in a standard MAC plastic jar with a screw cap. I hate the cap of all pigment jars which are velvety and it collect too much dirt and look shabby.

Price: INR 1300/-

Here are pictures and swatches of the beautiful TAN Pigment:

Aqua Blue Smokey Eyes for Summers - Video Tutorial

Hello Everyone,

I am very excited today as I have recorded my first video tutorial.

Well, I always wanted to do video tutorials because it is easier to show how I do my looks in a video than through a picture post. I do realize that I need to improve a lot in talking in front of the camera and improve the light settings to record videos. I will have to probably record in another room where light is better. Even though I have uploaded a video, I want to mention that I am still an amateur, still learning the art of make-up and nowhere close to any of the make-up guru's out there on YT.

I would also like to mention that filming videos is too tedious and lengthy. I will try to do more videos but no promises, as managing this with my busy work life will be very very difficult. But, I am hopeful.

I request you to support my YT Chanel as well the you have support my blog for more than a year.

Antiqued smokey eyes - Make-up look!

Hello everyone,

I hope you all are doing well and are happy and healthy.

I created this look using one of MAC's most famous and my favorite eyeshadow "Antiqued" (reviewed here) and used "Gorgeous Gold" to give a nice pop to eyes. Paired the eyes with a nice soft fuchsia pink lipstick. This look is all about creating a smudged look and I have not used any gel/ liquid eyeliner to maintain the smudged look. This I feel is quite apt for summers, but, one can sport it during any season. Also, to soften, the look, you can replace the lipstick with a muted pink or a nude lipstick, making it wearable for the day.

Here is the finished look:

Here are the products used to create this look:
Face:

  • Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer in Dark
  • MUFE Matte Velvet + foundation #55
  • MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC42 for blemishes
  • MAC Dessert Rose Blush
  • Nars highlighter in Albatross
Eyes:
  • Step 1: Smudge a black eyeliner pencil creating outer V (UD Zero used here)
  • Step 2: Pack on Antiqued on the entire lid. Blend it using MAC's Soft Brown eyeshadow
  • Step 3: Darken the outer V using a matte black eye shadow (MAC Carbon)
  • Step 4: Smudge Carbon above the lash line, keeping very very close to lashes. Also smudge Carbon under the lower lashline.
  • Step 5: Place Gorgeous Gold in the inner corner of the lid.
  • Step  6: Apply MAC Shroom in the tear duct
  • Step 7: Apply black pencil eye liner in the water lines
  • Step 8: Apply black mascara, Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara
Lips:
  • MUFE Rouge Artist Intense #34
  • MAC lipglass in Cultured
Here are some more pictures and some close-ups of the look:

I hope you all liked the look. This isn't a very dramatic look, and can be worn by anybody of any age.

Have a great weekend.

Soft Look for Summer - Featuring MAC Crosswires and Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Essential Long Wear Eyeshadow in Emerville

Hello Everyone

Hope you all are doing well and are happy and healthy.

This is the look which I have been sporting a lot lately. The eyeshadow Chanel's Illusion D'Ombre Essential Long Wear Eyeshadow in Emerville, a cream eyeshadow, is such a nice soft shimmery peachy beige shade, it creates a lovely illuminating effect for eyes and looks very subtle and soft during the day time. The formula is soft, smooth like butter and cushiony, yep, it kind of presses when you insert brush in the  product . As it claims to have long wearing formula, it doesn't crease or fade for a long time on my oily lids, true to it's claim. It stays as it is for 6-7 hours and then starts creasing slightly. It comes with a tiny synthetic fiber  brush applicator which is perfect for applying this product. I use the very same brush to apply this product.  Perfect for summers. I purchased it from Strawberrynet.com and it costed me around INR 2000/- after all this discounts which this website provides. There is no justification for a 2k bucks eyeshadow. Only justification is your desire to indulge into such luxury. But, to me the product is awesome and I have no regrets buying such an expensive product. But, still one can have have at least one of these asthis product is a pure luxury.

Chanel decribes this product as "This intensely shimmering long-wear eyeshadow offers true versatility. An innovative gel texture that is both soft and cushiony allows it to be worn as eyeshadow or eyeliner. Includes a specially designed shadow/liner brush, developed specifically for this unique formula."

Pairing this shade with MAC's Crosswires gives me a glamorous look. MAC describes Crosswiress as pinky-orange, though it looks more pinky-coral on me than orange. It comes in cremesheen formula which is smooth and glides very easily and gives a lovely sheen to lips. It stays put for good 7-8 hours without fading a bit, even after a full meal. Has an awesome color pay-off. Loved this product and now understand why everyone in the blogger community rave so much about this lipstick. Again, a perfect product for summers.

And me with these luxurious products.
