Glittery Blue - Purple Smokey Eyes for Holidays/ NYE - Tutorial

Hello Everyone

Hope you all are having a great week so far.

I came up with this look for you guys for the upcoming holidays and New Year parties. This look is super duper dramatic with dark eyeshadows and glitter, which would suit the occasion a lot. Going out with friends or with that special someone for a night out, you will get attention for this look. I am definitely going to wear this look one of the days during the holiday season. I hope you all like it too and try it for a suitable occasion.

Here are the products used and tutorial to get this look:

Products Used:
Face:

  • MAC Prep+Prime skin visage
  • Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer in Dark
  • Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Stromboli
  • MAC Bronzer in Refined Golden
  • Dior Bronze Harmony Blush in Coral Riviera
  • Dior Highlighting Powder Amber Diamond

Eyes:

  • MAC Paint Pot in Painterly
  • Estee Lauder Double Wear Cream Eyeshadow in  Blue Velvet
  • MAC e/s in Contrast, Satellite Dreams, Prance (LE), Carbon, Reflects Blue (LE/ Pro)
  • Lakme' Absolute Kohl Ultimate - Black
  • Bourjois Glamour Volume Max Mascara - Black
Lips:
  • Revlon Color Burst Lipstick - Peach
  • MAC lipglass in Nymphette

Stepwise Picture Tutorial:

  • Step 1: Start with priming your lids. I never skip this step as I have extremely oily lids.
  • Step 2: Apply EL Blue Velvet all over the lids as base and blend the harsh edges.

  • Step 4: Apply MAC e/s Contrast all over the blue base.
  • Step 5: Apply MAC e/s Satellite Dreams in the crease.

  • Step 6: Apply MAC e/s Prance under the brows to highlight
  • Step 7: Apply Lakme' Kohl Ultimate as shown in the picture below:
  • Step 8: Blend the eye liner using MAC e/s Carbon and deepen the outer corner

  • Step 9: Apply MAC e/s Prance in the inner corner. Now, we have the create the same effect as upper lid under the lower lashline. Start by applying e/s Contract in outer third, then e/s Satellite Dream in the middle and the e/s Satellite Dreams under the Contrast to create a glowy effect. Now, take a very very fine tip brush like MAC 214 and apply MAC e/s Carbon very very close to lashline. Apply MAC e/s Prance in the inner third of the lash line.
  • Step 10: Apply Lakme Absolute Kohl Ultimate in the water lines
  • Step 11: Apply good two-three coats of black mascara on lashes.
  • Step 12: Now, comes the most exciting part of the whole look which is my favourite. Apply MAC Glitter Reflects Blue on the lids concentrating most in the middle. This will give a nice lift and bling to the look.

  3. @ Ankita: Thank you so much.

@ Neeraj: Thanks a ton. I usually wet me brush using Fix+ and then dip the brush in glitter and pack on the lids very very carefully. If you apply glitter in a hurry, it will create a mess all over your face. So, be patient, take your time and then play around with glitters.

@ Parita: Thank you so much :-)
