MAC Sheertone Shimmer Blush "Dollymix"

Hello Everyone,

Hope you all are doing well and are happy & healthy.

Want those rosey cheeks? Here is the product from M.A.C. to help you get the 'rosey' cheeks - Sheertone Shimmer Blush in Dollymix.

M.A.C. very rightly defines it as "Pure Candy Pink". It has very sheer & tiny silvery shimmer which gives a nice glow to rosey cheeks.

Since , it is a very bright shade, one can easily overdo to look like a 'clown' and  hence one should take special care while applying this blush. I use a duo fiber blush (stippling brush) to apply this blush, tap-off the access on the back of my hands and then apply it on the cheeks.

I am loving this blush so far as suggest if you are looking for a pink blush then do try this one, you will not be disappointed.

Here are some pictures, swatches & FOTD using Dollymix:

Can you see the roseyness on my cheeks?

Hope you all liked this. Which is your favorite pink blush and from which brand, do let me know in the comments below.

Eve Pearl's Salmon Concealer - Review

Hello Everyone,

Hope you all are doing well and are happy & healthy!

In this era of cut-throat competition, we always strive to walk that extra mile do deliver the best, be it at work or at home. Most of us are part of this competition and are struggling to lead the race. And the result is lack of sleep & stress which results in Dark Circles! The best way to get rid of them is to have at least 6 hours of sound sleep in a day. But, I have them because of hereditary from my mom, so how much ever I sleep & relax they are still there. Mine are still much lighter than those of my mom & my bro. So, I hide them to get rid of them for some time.

In my tryst to get rid of, read 'hide', those dark circles, I have tried a number of under eye concealers, but none did the job to my satisfaction. After try a lot of concealers from drug store brands to higher end brands, the best concealer for me to hide those raccoon like dark circles is the Eve Pearl's Salmon Concealer.

I love this product very much and use it every single day. This is probably one product I will always stick to, until I find a better option, which I don't think I ever will. It comes a plastic pot like container with a screw cap. I am around NC37-40 and use shade "dark". It is available in four different shades: "Light", "Medium", "Tan", "Dark".

I got this product from the Eve Pearl's website here

It's a pricey product (USD 42) but it deliver's what it claims and this one pricey product which I would say is worth it!

Some pro's & con's of this product:

  • Pro's
    • Gel like formula hence easy to glide on the delicate under eye area
    • Gives full coverage
    • Stays longer and doesn't fade over the day
    • Doesn't settle in the fine lines or crease
    • You need very tiny amount to do the job and hence would last a lot longer. I have been using it for 6 months now and you can see that a lot is still left in the pot
  • Con's
    • Nothing in the product as such except it's unavailability in India
  • How to apply
    • I use my ring finger to apply. Make sure that you take very tiny amount otherwise it will settle down in the fine lines.

With Concealer. See how nicely it has brightened up my eyes.

If you are still in search of a perfect under eye concealer, that go for it. I am very sure you will not be disappointed.

Please note that that the views/ opinions presented here are purely based on my experience with the product and are absolutely unbiased and uninfluenced. I hope this review was helpful to some of you.

Happy Friday everyone and hope you all have a great Friday night.

Back with Dior "Collection"

Hello Everyone,

Hope you all had a great week and are happy and healthy.

I am back from a week's vacation after a fantastic stay with parents in a home where I was brought up and had spent my entire childhood till my graduation. Happen to meet a few friends from school to graduation and lot of stuff to eat prepared my mom. My mom has a very big garden and there were some lovely flowers blossoming and there was this playground covered with lush green grass just in front of my parent's home. Here are some pictures from my mom's garden, that are very refreshing to me:

Now, on to the product that I want to share with you all is a beautiful bright red-pink lipstick from Christian Dior's, Dior Addict Range. Like all other Dior Addict lipsticks, this one also has a great staying power and very shiny and glossy. The shade is great for parties & night outs, etc. Here are some pictures and FOTD using this beauty.

Red lips!

Hello Everyone,

Hope you all are happy & healthy.

With all the festivals round the corner, first one being Rakshabandhan, I thought classic red lips with dark brown/ bronze smokey kinda eyes will suit the occasion or for a family dinner & outing.

This is definitely my way of wearing red lips. I like it this way as to me no eye-makeup with red lips means my lips screaming 'look at me' which I definitely don't like. So, to balance out the drama of red lips I prefer to wear some brown/ bronze eye-makeup. But, you can chose to wear a light eye-makeup or just a dark smudged kohl.

So, lets see how I created this look.

Products Used:
Face:
  • Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer in Dark
  • Shiseido Dual Balancing foundation in # O60
  • MAC MSF Natural in Medium-Dark
  • Guerlain Terracotta bronzer in # 20
  • MAC CCB in Pearl
Eyes:
  • MAC PP in Painterly (all over as base)
  • MAC PP in Constructivist (Lid)
  • Estee Lauder Pure colour e/s in Hot Cinnamon Shimmer (Lid over the PP)
  • MAC e/s in All the glitters (Crease)
  • MAC e/s in Handwritten or you can chose to use black e/s (Outer V & smudges under the lower lash line)
  • MAC e/s in Brule (Brow highlight)
  • MAC fluidline in Blacktrack (Upper lashline)
  • UD 24/7 in Zero (water lines)
  • MAC Zoomlash mascara in Zoom Black
Lips:
  • Faces Canada lip pencil in True Red (All over the lips)
  • Revlon CB lipstick in Ruby

Hope you all liked this combo on eyes & lips and would rock this look. What make-up are you planning to wear this Rakshabandhan?

Have a great week ahead...

Love
Eesha
