    Olive/ Bronze Eyes - FOTD

    Hi Guys

Hope all of you all are doing well and are healthy and happy.

I was in fun mood and wanted to play with MAC's Sumptuous Olive e/s, which is a beautiful olive shade with golden sheen. I paired it up with MAC's Mulch e/s, which is a red-bronze shade with golden shimmer.

Whenever I wear green I generally wear a very soft & muted blush or a just a bronzer. But, today, since I was in fun mood, I decided to go a little OTT and worn a peachy-pink blush with a bronzer to contour and MAC Cream Color Base to highlight my cheek bones. I made sure that I don't look like disco ball by blending / buffing them a lot. Hope I was able to do justice to that!

On lips, I decided wear Coral lipstick, which gives pop to the whole look.

I actually started doing the tutorial but missed out taking pictures in between, but the process is very much similar to what I explained HERE

Chanel Rouge Coco Lipstick # 17 Orchidee

    Hello Everyone

Hope you all are happy and healthy.

Chanel's Rouge Coco Lipstick in Orchidee is a reddish-pink shade. It's pigmentation & staying power is awesome, as this range is famous for. You need just one swipe and you are good to go. It brightens up the face and looks good on my NC37-40 skin tone, so I sure it would look good on all Indian skin tones. Very wearable and not at all OTT and can be worn alone during the day or with a lipgloss during the night. A very versatile shade that can be worn with any e/s colour. So, far I am loving this lipstick and is surely one of my favorite pink lipsticks.

    Dramatic Burgundy/ Gold/ Copper Eyes - FOTD

    Hello Everyone,

Hope you all are having a great weekend so far, and, hope you all are happy and healthy.

As promised in my Makeup over the weekend!! post, here is the dramatic burgundy/ gold/ copper eye make-up which I wore to a friend's wedding reception.

    Products Used:
    Face:
Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer in Dark
MAC Select Moisture Cover in NC 44.5 (LE)
Shiseido Dual Balancing Foundation # O60
Guerlain Terracotta Matte Bronzer in # 20

Eyes: (MAC e/s unless other specified)
    PP in Painterly (Base)
PP in Artifact (Lid, leaving inner third of the eye)
Chocolate Brown Pigment (Lid - over Artifact PP & smudged under outer two-third of the lower lash line)
Mythology e/s (crease, blending the lid color)
Soft Brown e/s (blending the crease color towards brow bone)
Goldmine e/s (inner third of the lid & inner third of the lower lash line)
    Brule e/s (brow bone highlight)
Urban Decay 24/7 eye-pencil in Eldorado (smudged in the inner corner of the lid and inner third of the lower lash line as a base for gold e/s)
Urban Decay 24/7 in Zero (upper & lower water line)
MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack (Upper lash line)
Estee Lauder Lengthening Mascara in Black

You may also define your outer V using a dark burgundy shade like MAC's Sketch or Embark or a matte black e/s. I chose not to do it because already the eyes are too dramatic.

    Lips:
Revlon Super Lusturous lipstick in Sheer Rum (You may choose to wear a nude lipstick)

Hope you all liked it and would try wearing this look on party or a night out in the town.

Thank you all for stopping by!

Hope you all have a nice Sunday evening.

    Love
    Eesha

How to apply eye-shadow – Picture Tutorial

    Hello Everyone,

Hope you all are happy and healthy.

You may be surprised by the title ‘How to apply eye-shadow’. Well, we all know how to apply eye-shadows and are probably are experts. This post is for those who have just started with the eye make-up. With this tutorial I will be sharing some very basic tricks/ tips for applying eye-shadows and my favourite tools i.e. eye brushes. Having said that I don’t claim to be an expert, but want to share what I have learned over a period of time, after all this platform is to ‘share’.

The key to have a flawless eye-makeup is BRUSHES, PRIMER and BLENDING.

First step to understand the different areas of eye-makeup. The picture below is self-explanatory.

Second step is to have some quality brushes. My suggestion would be to invest in good brushes, so save on other things and invest in brushes. If you have good quality brushes then half your job is done.

Must have eye brushes and my favourite ones:

    1. Flat stiff shader brush – to pack e/s on lid. The tip is to pack/pat the e/s and not swipe. My favourite is MAC 239
    2. Stiff dome blending brush – to blend the lid colour in the crease. My favourite is MAC 217
    3. Pencil brush – to smudge the e/s under the lower lash line. My pick is MAC 219

    MAC 239, 217, 219, 209 (eye-liner)
Third important step is to prime your eyes before applying any e/s. There are a lot companies that have eye shadow primers. What primer does is it creates a neat canvas for your e/s to stick the whole day and it helps avoid creasing.

The most famous e/s primer is the Urban Decay Primer Potion, but sadly it is not available in India. The other most widely used primer is MAC Painterly Paint Pot. My favourite is the MAC Painterly PP because it is easily available in India and does the same job as UDPP.

The tip with priming the lids is to take very tiny amount of primer on your ring finger and apply it all over the eyes. If you take a lot of product then it will cake-up and ruin the whole look.

For e/s you basically need three shadows:
    1. Lid - any shade of your choice. I am using MAC Jest
    2. Crease - couple of shades darker than your skin tone. This basically is to blend the lid colour. I am using MAC Cork
    3. Highlighter - close to your skin tone. I am using MAC Vanila.
    4. Darker shade to define your outer V - Any shade couple of shades darker than your crease colour. I am using MAC Espresso.

So, let’s get started with the tutorial.

Step I - PRIME with Painterly PP

Step II - Pack the lid colour using MAC 239. I have also applied Rubenesque PP before applying the lid colour.

Step III: Apply crease colour using MAC 217

Step IV: Define the Outer V and apply highlighter shade. For the outer V, imagine liner from the corner of your eye till the end of your eyebrow. Draw a line using 217 till your crease and bring it in till the outer 3rd of your crease and then start feathering it in and blend blend and blend till all the harsh lines are blended.

Final look, w/o eye liner & mascara

Final look, with eye liner & mascara

    Final finished look :)
Hope you all like this tutorial, do let me know in the comments below and also your tips and tricks for applying eye shadows.

Hope you all are having a great hump day and have a great day and the week ahead. Until next time xoxo

    MAC Captive Lipstick - FOTD

    Hello Everyone,

Hope you all are having a great week so far.

MAC Captive, as the company very rightly describes it ‘pinkish-plum’, is a beautiful plum/ mauvish shade. It comes in satin finish and has an excellent colour pay-off, just one swipe and you are done. It stays good for 6-7 hours and then starts fading leaving stained lips, which according to me is excellent.

It’s is a bright shade but very wearable, even during the day. You can add a clear gloss for daytime and a mauve or purple gloss for more fun during evenings/ nights. Apart from neutrals, it can  also be worn with e/s like greens & purples. For this post, I am wearing it with neutral eyes.

    Products Used
    Face:
Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer in Dark
MAC Moisture Cover in NC 44.5
Shiseido Dual Balancing foundation # O60

    Eyes:
    MAC PP in Painterly
    MAC Retrospeck (all over lid)
UD Buck (Crease) (UD Naked Palette)
MAC Espresso (Outer V & lower lash line)
MAC fluidline Blitz & Glitz upper lash line
UD 24/7 in Zero (upper & lower water line)
UD 24/7 in Whisky (lower lash line)
    Estee Lauder Lash lengthening mascara

    Lips:
    MAC Captive

    w/o flash

    with flash

One swipe, with lipgloss or any lip liner

Hope you all liked it and will give it a try. It's worth having in your collection.

    Make-up over the weekend!!

    Hello Everyone,

Hope you all had a great weekend.

Last week was very hectic for me at work. I would just browse the internet and some blog posts on mobile while travelling and that is all. No time and energy for make-up and blogging. So, this was a much awaited weekend for me. Went to a friend’s wedding reception, for a movie and slept a lot over and of course stepped out only with make-up to compensate for the hectic week.

I did two dramatic looks over the weekend, one for the wedding reception & the other one for the movie. Previous one was more of burgundy/ golden/ copper look whereas the second one was neutral but dark smoky eye with bright lips.

For this post the second one with smoky eyes & bright lips comes first and the previous one will come soon. So, hang on girls.

On the lips, I wore Chanel Rouge Allure lipstick in Flamboyant which is a super-hot pink-coral-red shade. It has an awesome pigmentation & colour pay-off, stays for long hours without fading, very moisturising and fantastic on a whole. This was just my choice because I wanted to do dramatic make-up but you may choose to wear nude lipstick/ lipgloss or anything that tickles you.
