MAC Constructivist Paint Pot & All That Glitters

Hello Beauties,

I hope you all are happy & healthy.

I am on my experiment spree using my latest MAC goodies. The two products that I am experimenting a lot are Constructist PP & Tempting eyeshadow. I had mentioned in my previous post that Constructivist is a great product to create dark brown/ bronze smoky eyes. But, thought of creating a softer look using HG All That Glitters over the dark PP with pink rosy lips and brown winged liner. I think it's wearable during anytime of the day, just replace the brown eyeliner with black eyeliner.

Haul: MAC goodies

Hello Everyone,

Hope you all are healthy & happy!

So, it was a 3 days weekend and I went out to get indulged in cosmetics shopping and bought some MAC goodies from permanent range and LE Peacocky collection. I am really excited about these and thought of sharing with you wonderful ladies out there. Hope you all enjoy and indulge yourself in those.

Some of you may already have the stuff, but, I thought of sharing with those who have these products in their wishlist and are planning to buy.

So, if your want to see the pictures, swatches and know what I think about those, then keep reading. :)

Goodies I bought from MAC:

Paint-pot: Constructivist (Metallic brown w/red pearl)
As you all know, MAC paint-pots are great bases either all over lid or for 'that' pop of color. This has been in my wishlist for a long time now, since, I love to sport bronzy-brown smoky eyes. It's a dark chocolate colour with slight golden sheen and plum/ red undertones. This product makes smoky eye super easy to create. A great base for shadows like Bronze, Sable, Tempting, Mulch, etc etc etc. I worn it under tempting the other day with Mulch in the crease, Center Stage (LE) in Outer V and Ricepaper as highlight and inner corner and the result was a dramatic metallic brown smoky eye look. I haven't yet worn it for the entire day, but for say 4-5 hours, and after 4 hrs for partying it was right there without creasing or budging and my shadows looked like freshly applied. So, 5/5 for this product.

Initially, when I opened the lid, the top layer of the product was little hardened, but after rubbing the top layer with ring finger, it was as creamier as other paint-pots. I used MAC 217 for applying the shadow.

Eye-shadows:
 - Retrospeck (Beached blonde (Lustre))

It is beige color with golden glitter, lustre formula and has chunky glitter to give fallout. But, the colour is so gorgeous, I couldn't resist my self from buying. Great day colour and versatile to be worn with many shades like browns/ taupes/ purples, etc. It goes on like butter smooth, opens up my eyes making me look awake. Used with Patina in the crease and Satin Taupe in Outer v with Vanilla as brow highlight. 4/5 for this product, 1 point deducted for fallout.

 - Tempting (Sinfully rich coco (Lustre))
Again a lustre formula, bronze with golden glitter but less or no fallout like Retrospeck. I am crazy about bronzy and neutral shades, just because they are versatile to be worn with any colour of dress. I have worn it over Constructivist PP and over Painterly PP as all over base, it is a superb bronze shade. True to it's colour, doesn't turn red / orange on applying like sable and bronze. Can be worn on the lid and crease. 5/5 for this product.

 - Center Stage (LE, Peacocky collection)
Metallic dark chocolaty brown colour with golden sheen from Peacocky Collection. Love it. The darkest true brown shade in my collection. Best for outer V & crease and smudging under the lower lashes. Blends easily and colour pay-off is 100% with no fall out. 5/5 for Center Stage

Mascara:
 - Zoom fast black lash (Deeply dark drama. Same as Zoom Lash, but with carbon black pigment. Saturates lashes with the richest black ever. Creamy, velvety formula builds density and conditions. Feels supple, light, flexible. Ultra-sculpted brush embraces and separates each lash, hugging every curve)

Carbon black mascara for volumizing the lashes. Doesn't clump or smudge and can be very easily removed (even using a facial wipe). The wand is such that it touches every single lash lengthening and volumizing them.

So here are the pictures, swatches and my views on the products:

W/o flash, L to R: Constructivist PP, Center Stage, Tempting, Retrospeck, Tempting over Constructivist PP, Bronze over Constructivist PP, Sable over Constructivist PP

So, all you beautiful ladies out there, have you tried Constructivist PP and what combinations do you love wear it with and which is your favourite product from Peacocky collection.

I hope you liked it and was useful to all you beauties there.

My favorite makeup removers/ cleansers

Hello Everyone

So, it's a loooo...ng weekend for most of us. I am sure you all must have planned a lot of things to do and parties over the weekend. I hope you all have a great extended weekend.

Today I am going to tell you all about my favorite make-up removers/ cleansers and give my review about them. Please appreciate that I am not a skin-care specialist. I will not go on talking about the ingredients or it's effects/ side effects. You may have to judge it for yourself. The review is purely based on my own experiences with the products.

Before I start my review, let me tell you that I have an extremely oily & sensitive skin. It literally bleeds oil during summers and breaks out easily.

I have short listed two products that are presently my favorite after using a lot of cheap & expensive make-up removers/ cleansers from various brands
- Cleanse off oil from MAC
- Seaweed Purifying Facial Cleanser from The Body Shop

Cleanse off oil from MAC
I have used this product a lot and I have already finished a full bottle. I really really love this product. It takes off the make-up very quickly and completely. I have used it to even remove my eye make-up without any problem in my eyes (I have very sensitive eyes and I am very particular about the products that I am using for my eyes).

- Formula
Oil based

- Ease of use
Very easy, just massage the oil gently on face and wash it off. While washing it generates a slight lather and which cleanse off the face completely. Don't even need face wash to rinse off the face. It does not leave face dry or stretchy.

- Packaging/ Quantity
Comes in 150ML pump bottle and is very easy to remove the product. Very sturdy, but bulky for travelling.

- Price
I had bought this almost a year ago and I do not remember the exact pricing, but it is in the range of INR 1000/- to INR 1100/-. Pricey but worth!

Seaweed Purifying Facial Cleanser from The Body Shop
I have been using this product for a couple of months now. I am quite happy with it. I purchased this product out of urgency as I ran out of my MAC oil and MAC stores are really far off from my place (I live in Navi Mumbai). Initially I was sckeptical about about buying this considering my bas experiences, but let me tell you all, that I am very happy with the results it gave and I may not buy the expensive MAC oil again if I am getting the same results with a cheaper option available next door.

- Formula
Cream based

- Ease of Use
Massage the product gently on your face and rinse off using a face wash. Leaves face moisturized. It has a smell it to it which is pleasant and bearable.

- Packaging/ Quantity
Comes in a sturdy squeeze 200ML bottle and hence hygienic. Bulky for travelling.

- Price
INR 450/-, definitely cheaper than the MAC one. So, if you are looking for an economical product than go for it. It does the same job as the MAC oil does.

I am presently using it to remove my face & eye make-up and do not have any breakouts or any other signs of skin discomfort and is my favorite cleanser.

I hope it was useful for you :)

MAC Satellite Dreams - Purple Smokey Eye

Hello Everyone,

First of all I am sorry for not being in action for almost a week. A lot of things were happening around, which I will update you all about in my upcoming posts.

I hope you are doing well and are in good health :)

Satellite dreams is one of my favourite purple eyeshadow from MAC. It's in Veluxe Pearl finish and MAC describes it as Deep plum with pearl. I find it true purple shadow with slight bluish / pinkish undertones. It's pigmentation is sheer to build-able.

So, here is how love to wear it. Hope you all will like it :)

Do let me know if it's hit or miss. I will appreciate you comments to improve :)

Spring Summer - Rose in my garden!!!

Hello Everyone,

I hope that you all are having a great weekend.

This look is inspired by this rose in my collection of roses. I like the shading of the petals very much and I thought why not create an eye look inspired by this rose. I have tried to do justice to this look.

I think this has come out quite subtle and can be worn anytime during the day.

I hope you all will like :)

MAC Mythology / Antiqued

Hello Everyone,

Yay.... it's weekend... Happy Friday to everyone!!! I hope you all will have lot's fun over the weekend.

Here is the look using my very first eyeshadows from MAC. Mythology & Antiqued. Mythology is a frosty finish peach-coral shade with silvery glitter in it. It is one of my favorite eyeshadows. This particular eyeshadow has a fallout because of the glitter in it, but that can be avoided using a good base and a stiff eye shader brush. I use Sigma E55. Antiqued is beautiful coppery-bronze shade with red undertones.

So, here is how pair them up with other MAC eyeshadows. Hope you all will like it :)

How to store more eyeshadows in MAC 15 pan palette

Hey Everyone,

Yes you read it right, we can store more eyeshadows in a MAC's 15 pan palette. So, instead of storing 15, we can easily store 21 MAC shadow pans. The bottom base of the palette is metallic and the pans have little magnets attached to keep the pans in place in the palette.

This came to my mind because I was planning to buy a couple of eyeshadows from MAC and my both palettes were full to store anymore. I was not really in a mood to spend on the palette for just a couple of eyeshadwos. I had seen in many YouTube videos and make-up blogs that they have removed the inserts and stored more MAC eyeshadow pans, but never took it seriously. So, I went to Google God to find out how to remove the inserts from the palette. I came across this YouTube video on "Converting MAC Palettes" by EnKoreMakeup.

So, in INR 840, we can store 21 MAC pans instead of 15 pans.

I immediately removed the inserts from my palette and stored 21 MAC eye shadow pans. I am so excited about this. Here are some of the pics of my 15 MAC eyeshadow palette storing 21 MAC refill pans..... :) :)

I hope it was helpful to many of you.
