Christian Dior Diorskin Pouder Shimmer in Amber Diamonds - Review, Pictures, Swatches

Hello,

Hope you all are having a great week so far.

Christian Dior Diorskin Pouder Shimmer - an ultra shimmering all over face powder brightens the complexion with thousands of sparkles and an airy caress of translucent light subtly shaded with delicate, sparkly gem-like effects. The secret of this unique reflection is the right amount of pearlescent particles and pigments designed to give the skin beautiful sheen. The result in just one step, your face radiates with a delicate halo of light.

It is available in two shades - Amber Diamond and Rose Diamond. The one which I own and reviewing here is Amber Diamond. Amber Diamond seem to be more famous among the beauty fanatics across the world. I can see this suiting most of the skintones.

Price: INR 2800/- or more. I got mine from www.strawberrynet.com for around INR 2500/- in August.

I just love this shimmer powder as a face highlighter. It does have lot of shimmer, but it doesn't give a disco ball kinda look, instead it gives a lovely warm glow to the face. Though, it is a n all over face powder, I restrict using it on the cheeks as highlighter and on the bridge of the nose. One can also dust it on the shoulders when wearing a off shoulder dress.

It's pigmentation is amazing, stays put nicely for 5-6 hours on me and doesn't break me out.

I usually swirl my MAC Brush # 129 on the product with a very light hand and apply it on wherever I want to.

Price is definitely a concern, as it is very expensive just for a highlighter. But, the quantity and quality is worth the price. This is going to last anyone forever, yes, forever, because you need very tini-tiny amount to get the effect.

Here are some pictures, swatches and a few looks with this product on:

  9. Gorgeous on you, but I have always wondered if I should get it. It is expensive and I don't obviously use highlighters much :/ For that price, I'd rather get a blush - BUT everyone praises this thing so much...I'm afraid one day I will give in :D
